Thanks for sharing your experiences with Bill Evans. Gene Lees wrote the interesting original liner notes to "Conversations with Myself" and explains the recording process for those sessions in detail. "JazzProfiles", https://jazzprofiles.blogspot.com/2019/01/bill-evans-in-paris-with-gene-lees.html, reprints the Lees' "Jazzletter" in which he tells a couple of stories about the album -- sharing it with Glenn Gould (who calls Bill the Scriabin of jazz) and the Grammy awards ceremony for his nomination for the album.
By the way, I still own your folios of transcriptions of Evans (and Tatum).
There has been an onslaught of Live releases of Bill Evans in recent years. I would love to hear your thoughts on those someday as a podcast episode.
I'm glad Comments are back.
